What is Application Software?

Application software refers to computer programs that help users perform specific tasks, such as managing business operations, learning new skills, or engaging with others on social media. Unlike system software, which runs the device's basic functions, application software provides a user-friendly interface to complete tasks, increase productivity, or simply entertain. Below are examples from various application software categories.


1. Social Applications

  • Facebook: Facebook is a comprehensive social networking platform where users create profiles, connect with friends, and share a wide range of content such as photos, videos, and status updates. With billions of active users, it includes Facebook Groups for communities, Marketplace for buying and selling items, and Messenger for instant communication.
